Helen L. Adams

Helen L. Adams, 93, of Pekin, IL passed away at 2:20 PM Friday, July 22, 2016 at Pekin Manor. Helen was born on February 23, 1923 in Neosho, MO to Wayne and Beatrice (Winters) Roelofson. She married Gerald Adams in 1970 in Pekin. He passed away December 9, 1985. Also preceding in death are her parents, one brother, Wayne Roelolson, two sisters, Betty Bennet and Marge Gent and nephew, Curtis Gent. Surviving are: her sister, Norma Carter of Conway, AR; three nieces, Diana (Roland) Hipsley of McIntosh, FL, Karen (David) Champlin of Pekin, IL and` Debra (Dennis) Farlin of Bee Branch, AR; one nephew, Phillip Roelofson of Crystal Lake, IL; four great nieces, one great nephew, four great great nieces, three great great nephews, one great great great niece and one great great great nephew. Helen was a member of First United Methodist Church, church choir for many years and the Rebecca Circle. In earlier years she enjoyed bowling, pinochle and being a member of the Sweet Adeline's. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at First United Methodist Church with Rev. James McClarey and Rev. Judy Doyle officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM Wednesday at the church. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens. Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of the arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the music fund at First United Methodist Church.
