Heinrich "Henry" Kohl

Heinrich 'Henry' Kohl, 82, of Pekin, IL passed away at 7:05 PM Monday, December 1, 2014 at Morton Terrace Health and Rehab Centre in Morton, IL. Henry was born on March 31, 1932 in Yugoslavia to Johan and Johanna (Rise) Kohl. He married Christa Assmann on December 26, 1953 in Germany. Preceding in death are his parents, three brothers and one sister. Surviving is: his wife, Christa of Pekin; two sons, Erwin Kohl and Henry (Vickey) Kohl both of Pekin; three grandchildren, Katrina (Kevin) Dulin of Houston, TX, Karen Kohl and Henry J. (Cassi) Kohl both of Pekin; three great grandchildren, Clare Dulin, Presley and Jackson Kohl; one brother, Martin (Josephine) Kohl of Australia. Henry worked at Cornick Concrete from 1957 - 1970. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church Green Valley. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening. Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Friday, December 5, 2014 at Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory 2131 Velde Drive in Pekin with Rev. Chris Sansom officiating.Visitation will from 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Sand Prairie Cemetery near Green Valley. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church.
