Harold "Fritz" Oltman

Harold "Fritz" Oltman, 92, of Pekin, IL passed away at 4:55 AM Sunday, March 5, 2023 at Hallmark Healthcare of Pekin. Fritz was born on November 18, 1930 in Pekin to Harold W. and Velma (Larosh) Oltman. He married Joanne F. Grant on June 13, 1952 in Lewistown, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Betty Ranney. Surviving are: his wife, Joanne of Pekin; two daughters, Joy Oltman and Janice (Harry) Willmert all of Pekin; three sons, Thomas H. (Kim) Oltman, Bradley C. (Jody) Oltman and Michael G. (Sue Buster) Oltman all of Pekin; twelve grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Fritz served in the Air National Guard. He retired as Gas Supervisor from CILCO/Ameren in 1991 after 40years of service. After Retirement he worked as a Bailiff for the Tazewell County Courthouse. He was a member of First Christian Church where he sang in the Chancel Choir and served as a Deacon. He was a member of Elks Lodge #1271 and Life Member Pekin Moose Lodge #916. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Friday, March 10, 2023 at Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory with Pastor Mark Foglio officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM 7:00 PM Thursday, March 9th at the funeral home. Cremation will be accorded after the service. Inurnment will take place at a later date in Glendale Memorial Gardens.
