Greg E. Neavear

Gregory E. Neavear, 63, of Pekin, IL passed away at 11:09 AM Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at his home. Greg was born on October 2, 1957 in San Diego, CA to Earl Dean and Kathleen (Havens) Neavear. He married Evelyn Hutton on April 28, 1979 in Pekin. His parents preceded him in death. Surviving are: his wife, Evelyn of Pekin; one son, Sam (Kortni) Neavear of Manito, IL; one daughter, Audrey (David Vincent) Callaway of Manito, IL; three grandchildren, Waylon and Barrett Neavear and Sophia Callaway; three step grandchildren, Savannah, Treavor and Danica Vincent; one sister, Sherry Neavear of Cicero, IN; several step brothers and step sisters. Greg was a Laborer with United Steel Workers Local #7-807 in Pekin. He was a member of Pekin Moose Lodge #916, Tremont Sportsmans Club and the NRA. Greg enjoyed riding motorcycles, fishing and spending time in Wisconsin at the cabin. Greg was devoted to his grandchildren. He was a gentle giant and knew no stranger. A Celebration of Gregs life will be held this summer. Cremation has been accorded. Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory has been entrusted with Gregs arrangements.
