Gordon E. Tindall

Gordon E. Tindall, 89, of Pekin passed away at 11:42 am Thursday, July 24, 2008 at his home. Gordon was born February 19, 1919 in Peoria County, Illinois to Easton and Marinda (Barran) Tindall. He married Pauline Hines. She passed away in March 1966. He then married Betty Jane Shillhorn on February 20, 1991 in Peoria County. She died May 16, 2004. Also preceding in death are his parents, two half sisters and one step grandchild. Surviving are: two nephews, Martin (and Loretta) Harper of Green Valley and Randal (and Karen) Brown of Phoenix, AZ; one step son, Rev. Allan (and Sue) Feltner of Normal, IL; one step daughter, Bonnie J. Smith of Topeka, IL; two great nieces, three great nephews, five step grandchildren and ten step great grandchildren. Gordon was a member of Carpenters Local 183. He was a carpenter for fifty years retiring in 1981. He also was a pile driver for many years. Gordon invented many things during his life time.
