Gloria Strope

Gloria J. Strope, 86 of Pekin passed away at 12:16am on Wednesday, April 25, 2013 at OSF St. Francis Hospital in Peoria. Gloria was born April 27, 1926 to Andrew and Olive (Gingrey) Kinder in Pekin.She married Ralph Strope June 1, 1947 he died January 31, 1998. She was also preceded by her parents. Gloria is survived by two daughters, Christie (Nelson) Luft of Pekin and Terrie (Randall) Warner of Peoria; four grandchildren, Dani' Mason, Randi (Jeremy) Collins, Chealsi (Evan) Wagler and Layci Warner; two great grandchildren, Alivia and Jesse Collins. Gloria and her husband were owners of Stropes Electric.She worked as the office manager. She was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ in Pekin.Gloria enjoyed shopping, gardening and her lunch dates. Funeral service will be at 11:00 am, Monday, April 29, 2013 with visitation 10:00am - 11:00am at Henderson Funeral Home 2131 Velde Dr., Pekin.Rev. Judy Doyle will officiate. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
