Glenn I. Hogue

Glenn I. Hogue, 95, of Pekin passed away at 9:55 am Saturday, November 1, 2008 at Hopedale Nursing Home in Hopedale, IL. Glenn was born August 22, 1913 in Peoria County, IL to Bruce F. and Violet (Cose) Hogue. He married Hazel B. Thomas on November 13, 1935 in Paxton, IL. She died on January 22, 2007. Glenn was also preceded in death by one son, Glenn Hogue Jr. and one brother Douglas Hogue. Surviving are: one niece, Joan (and Joe) Vignassi of Pekin; five nephews, Darold (and Marcia) Hogue and Donald (and Marilyn) Hogue both of Groveland, IL, Robert (and Betty) Hogue of Naperville, IL, Steven (and Marcia) Hogue and Fred (and Angela) Hogue both of Pekin, IL; Thirty great nephews and nieces; forty great great nieces and nephews. He retired from Keystone Steel and Wire Co. as a General Foreman in April 1978 after 48 years. Glenn was a member of First Baptist Church in Pekin and Leesburg, FL. He was also a member of Empire Lodge #126 AF & AM I Pekin, Scottish Rite Consistory, Valley of Peoria Mohammed Shrine, and Independent Order of Foresters. He was a former member of Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association and International Flying Farmers.
