Gerald Bonnette

Gerald A. 'Jerry' Bonnette, 75, of Pekin passed away at 1:34 PM Saturday, November 15, 2014 at Unity Point Health Methodist in Peoria. Jerry was born on December 5, 1938 in Pekin to Earl and Mary (Cheney) Bonnette. He married Sharon Morrissey on June 27, 1959 at Sacre Coeur Catholic Church in Creve Coeur, IL. He was preceded in death by his mother. Surviving are: his wife, Sharon of Pekin; two sons, Michael Bonnette of Evanston, IL and Terry Bonnette of Dearborn, MI; his father, Earl Bonnette of Pekin; two step brothers, Gary (Carolyn) Minar and Ed (Lynnette) Minar both of Atlanta, GA. Jerry is a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pekin. He was a member of Sunset Golf Club and former member of Moose Lodge #916. He enjoyed spending time with his family and pets and playing a game of golf with his buddies. He collected miniature Christmas ornaments. Jerry retired as Vice President of the Independent Steel Workers Alliance in 2002 after 41 years. Private entombment services will be Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at Glendale Memorial Gardens with Rev. Michael Andrejek officiating. Visitation will be from 1:30 PM - 2:30 PM Wednesday at Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory 2131 Velde Dr. in Pekin.
