Gary Norris

Gary Norris 59 of Albuquerque, New Mexico, formerly of Pekin passed away Wednesday, May 20, 2015 in Maui, Hawaii. Gary was born May 25, 1955 in Peoria, IL to Harold and Joanne (Schmidt) Norris.He married Linda Norris August 22, 1986 she died February 12, 2008.He then married Sandi Logsdon October 9, 2014 in New Mexico.She survives. He is also survived by one son, Taylor Allen (Brook Lockenour) Norris of Omaha, NE; one stepson Corey Clemons of Peoria; three step grandchildren, Jaedon, Corissa, Elijah Clemons; two brothers, Steven (Melissa Treier) Norris of New York City, David (Annie) Norris of Gilbert, AZ; and one sister, Kathy Cox of Benecia, CA. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife, Linda. Gary was very adventurous.He loved kayaking, hiking, observing wildlife, and traveling.He also enjoyed collecting coins, Indian pottery. Gary's love for people was evident in his constant smile as well as his generosity. He greatly enjoyed the people he was able to meet in his work as a conductor for Chicago NW Union Pacific Railroad beginning in 1974 and then for Amtrack in 2004. Visitation will be held Monday June 15, 2015 from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory 2131 Velde Dr., Pekin. Cremation has been accorded.
