Gabriel K. Cook

Gabriel K. "Toast" Cook, 32, of Marquette Heights, IL died March 8, 2021 in Peoria County. Gabe was born on February 6, 1989 in Peoria, IL to Randall K. and Kimberly L. (Burns) Cook. He was preceded in death by one brother, Alex Burns, maternal grandparents, Robert and Elsie Burns, paternal grandparents, Paul and Grace Cook. Surviving are: his father, Randall of Moline, IL: mother, Kimberly DeVine of Sweetwater, TN; daughter, Evelynn Cook of Portland, OR; sister, Amberlyn Devine of Etowah, TN and companion, Ashley Huffman of East Peoria, IL; also other surviving members are his Aunt Kathy and Uncle John Bianchi, and his Uncle Greg Cook of Pekin, IL. Gabriel had several cousins that he treated like his own brothers and sisters, Amelia Schureman, Katie Pollard, Michael Bianchi, Zach Cook, Jessie Sapp, Cheyenne Dieker, Sarah and Abby Hayes. Gabe was a Certified Welder. He also was a lighting and sound technician for music festivals. He enjoyed tattooing and fishing, especially the annual family fishing trip to Tennessee. A service celebrating his life will be at 11:00 AM Saturday, July 20 2024 at Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory with Pastor Chuck Kohler officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM -11:00 AM on Saturday. Cremation has been accorded. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Gabes daughter, Evelynn with checks made payable to "FBO Evelynn G. Cook" and mailed to CEFCU 3515 Court St. Pekin, IL 61554.
