Frieda B.J. Groenhagen

Frieda B.J. Groenhagen, 74, of Manito passed away at 8:16 am Monday, October, 29, 2007 in Springlake Township, Tazewell County, Illinois. Frieda was born September 27, 1933 in LeMars, Iowa to Henry and Karla E. Ida Groenhagen. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters. Surviving are: three children, Lee Hoeft of Michigan, Tarry (and Teri) Hoeft of Manito, IL and Sandie (and Tony) Nostrand of Cambridge, Ohio; three grandchildren, Andrea (and Matt) Dutton of Tremont, April Flowers of East Peoria, Kyle Hoeft of Manito; one great grandson, Adam Dutton; four sisters, Elaine Spracklen of Pekin, Lily Langel of LeMars, Iowa, Joan (and John) De Sutter of Manito, and Darlene (and Charles) Umholtz of Hanna City, IL; special friend, Dean Colson of Manito, IL. Frieda worked as a cook at the Dining Car Restaurant in South Pekin for six years. She retired in 1986. She was a member of the Peoria Area Accordion Club, Miller Melodies,Lyn Mahr Red Hat Society in Pekin and Pekin Garden Club.
