Fred V. Gustoff

Fred V. Gustoff, 75 of rural Manito, passed away at 3:30 p.m., Sunday, November 8, 2015 in Sand Prairie Township, Tazewell County. He was born December 28, 1939 in Pekin to Fred H. and Lois Virginia (Hoerr) Gustoff.He married Carol Shawver on November 17, 1962 in Green Valley. He is preceded in death by his parents. Surviving are his wife, Carol, one son, Mark (Tyla) of Chandler, AZ , one daughter, Christine Gustoffof Phoenix, AZ , two grandsons, Nicholas and Bradley Gustoff, and one sister, Eris J. Vidoni of Pekin. Fred worked at the former Hiram Walker & Sons/Allied Domecq as Manager of Technology Service / Product Development in Peoria and Livonia Michigan, retiring in 1996 after 33 yrs. of service. Fred also was an avid farmer for the past 40 years in Sand Prairie Township, Tazewell County. He was a faithful member of the Grace United Methodist in Pekin where he was a former church trustee and a member of the YAMS Sunday School Class.He was a member of the American Chemical Society. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m., Friday, November 13 at Grace United Methodist Church, Pekin, Illinois. Reverend Gary Ford will officiate. Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. - 12:45 p.m. on Friday at the church.Interment will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens.Henderson Funeral Home and Crematory is assisting the family with the arrangements.
