Franklin D. 'Frank' Scott, 75, of Green Valley, IL passed away at 9:05 pm Thursday, November 20, 2008 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. Frank was born September 7, 1933 in Pekin to Earl and Etla (Diers) Scott. He married Beverly A. Mitchell on July 4, 1954 in Green Valley, IL. Preceding in death are his parents and one sister, Ruby Van Matre. Surviving are: his wife, Beverly of Green Valley; one son, Franklin E. (Diane) Scott of Green Valley; three daughters, Crystal (Wayne) Deppert of Green Valley, Lisa (Mark) Howard of Atchinson, KS and Lori (Jeff) Livengood of Green Valley; twelve grandchildren, Halecia Scott, Jayla (Karl) Richter, Kara (Matt) Rohrbach, Michael Deppert, Maggie Deppert, Amanda Howard, Katie Howard, Seth Howard, Scott Howard, Alex Howard, Geoff (Amie) Livengood and Danielle Livengood; one great granddaughter, Kayla Richter; one sister, Mardell Urish of Pekin. Frank retired from Caterpillar, Inc. as a Heat Treatment Engineer in 1991 after forty years. Frank was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Green Valley where he had served as a trustee. He was a member of the United Methodist Men currently serving as Treasurer. He was a twenty-five year member of the Green Valley Fire Department and had served as Fire Chief and Trustee. He had served on the Green Valley Cemetery board and as a Trustee for the Village of Green Valley. Frank loved to fish and travel. He loved his family and especially his grandchildren.
