Florence Rowell

Florence Rowell, 87, of Pekin, IL passed away at 5:20 AM Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at Timbercreek Rehab and Healthcare. Florence was born on July 25, 1933 in Pekin to Harold E. and Lenora (Vancil) Harkleroad. She married Donald Rowell in 1955. He passed away on December 19, 1979. Also preceding in death are her parents, three brothers, James, Ernest and Earl Harkleroad, one sister, Wilma Chism and daughter, Colleen Johnson. Surviving is one son, Doyle Rowell of South Pekin, IL. Florence worked for many years in the admitting department at Pekin Hospital retiring in 2004. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. She enjoyed gardening and flowers. Funeral services will be at 10:30 AM Monday, November 22, 2021 at Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. Judy Doyle officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30 AM 10:30 AM Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donors choice.
