Florence W. Potter

Florence W. Potter, 88 of Pekin, formerly of Ruston, LA and Decatur, IL passed away at 8:40 p.m. Wednesday, August 29, 2007 at Pekin Manor. Florence was born May 31, 1919 in Moweaqua, IL to Floyd and Birdella Parker Jacobs.She married Ernest Zimmerman in 1937.She married Howard Gill in 1966, he died in 1970.She then married Ned Potter in 1973, he died in 1975. Preceding her in death is:her parents and two sisters; Olga Brown and Dorothy Potter. She is survived by four nephews:James (Chris) Rasmussen of Hanna City; Don Simpson of North Pekin; Jerry Rasmussen of Manito; Charles (Eleanor) Rasmussen of Pekin; two nieces: Patricia (Greg) Sims of Manito and Susan (Barry) Weger of Pekin. Florence was a member of The First Church of God in Pekin.She was a former member of West Side Church of Nazarene in Decatur.She was a member of American Business Women of America for 32 years.She played the piano and organ for many years at various churches and for special events.
