Evelyn A. Dermott

Evelyn A. Dermott, 86, 0f Pekin passed away at 2:45 PM Thursday, February 23, 2012 at Pekin Manor. Evelyn was born on October 18, 1925 in Wilmington, IL to Raymond and Mildred (Allott) Elyea. She married Eugene Dermott on October 8, 1950. He passed away May 2, 1993. Also preceding in death are her parents, daughter, Diane Kupkowski, one brother, Robert Elyea. Surviving is: one son, Mark (Jayne) Dermott of Delray Beach, FL; daughter, Donna (Charlie) Doll of Pekin; four grandchildren, Bridget Dermott, Sarah Doll, Michael (Tiffany) Kupkowski and Jane Kupkowski; her first great grandchild is to be born next month. Evelyn was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Pekin. She was a teacher at Wilmington High School for many years. She was a former member of the Pilot Club, enjoyed playing golf and was an avid Cub fan.Evelyn loved spending time with her family and friends. Cremation has been accorded. A memorial visitation will be held from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM Friday, March 16, 2012 at Henderson Funeral Home in Pekin.
