Ethan Scott Venzon, 24, of Pekin, Illinois, passed away at 9:54 a.m. on Monday, August 24, 2026, in Morton, Illinois.
Ethan was born on April 24, 2002, in Peoria, Illinois, to Scott and Lorrie (Eeten) Venzon. From the very beginning, Ethan brought a special light into the lives of those around him. He will be remembered as a beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, and friend whose time with us, though far too short, touched many lives.
Ethan's passing leaves an immeasurable emptiness in the hearts of those who loved him. He will be deeply missed by his parents, Scott and Lorrie Venzon of Pekin; his five siblings, Caleb, Dominic, Addyson, Breaunna, and Kaden Venzon; his paternal grandparents, Peggy (William) Allen of Peoria; and his maternal grandparents, Tom and Brenda Eeten of East Peoria. He also leaves behind aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, coworkers, and fellow firefighters who will forever cherish the memories they shared with him.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Richard Venzon and uncle, Michael Venzon.
Ethan had a generous heart and a personality that made him easy to love. He cherished the time he spent with his family and friends and especially enjoyed making memories with the people closest to him. He loved fishing, gaming, escape rooms, spending time with friends, and, of course, dogs. These simple joys reflected the fun-loving, adventurous spirit that made Ethan uniquely himself.
Ethan worked as a FedEx driver, where he was known for his hard work and dedication. He also proudly served his community as a member of the Schaeferville Volunteer Fire Department. His commitment to helping others was a meaningful part of who he was. Ethan was also a member of the Pekin Moose Lodge.
Though Ethan's life was far too brief, the love he gave, the memories he created, and the lives he touched will remain forever. His laughter, his kindness, his sense of adventure, and the moments shared with him will be treasured by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory, 2131 Velde Drive, Pekin, Illinois. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Schaeferville Volunteer Fire Department in Ethan's memory.
