Emma Lee Harris

Emma Lee Harris, 75, of Pekin, IL passed away at 5:05 AM Monday, November 13, 2023 at her home surrounded by family. Emma Lee was born on February 15, 1948 in Louisville, KY to Clarence Robert and Mary Elizabeth (Edwards) Fields. She married Lloyd Harris on June 4, 1982 in Peoria, IL. He passed away May 4, 1990. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Marietta Catt and brother, Milton Fields. Surviving are: two sons, Robbie (Brandi) Rakestraw of South Pekin and Danny Rakestraw of Lebanon, MO; four daughters, April (Jeff) Kinkead of Fairview, IL, Cari (Kevin) Brown of Belle, MO, Christina (Justin) Robbins of Pekin and Nicole Farlin of Pekin; seventeen grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren, three sisters, Patsy Courtright of South Pekin, Stella Walski of Plainfield, IL and Anna (Charles) Blanford of Crestwood, KY. Emma Lee was a home health caregiver for many years. She enjoyed gardening and writing poetry. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM 5:00 PM Thursday, November 16, 2023 at Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory. Funeral service will follow at 5:00 PM Thursday with Pastor Nate Springer officiating. Interment will be at 11:00 AM Friday, November 17th at Lakeview Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
