Elsie "Cricket" Burns

Elsie "Cricket" Burns, 81, of Pekin, IL passed away at 2:07 AM Thursday, August 17, 2023 at Pekin Manor. Elsie was born on June 6, 1942 in Tellico Plains, TN to Arthur and Mary (Harris) Miller. She married Robert E. Burn on September 19, 1963. He passed away on December 25, 2011. Also preceding in death are her parents, two grandsons, Alex Burns and Gabriel Cook, three sisters, Robbie Coleman, Jewel Woody and Lou Cross and two brothers, Clyde and Glen Miller. Surviving are: two daughters, Kathy (John) Bianchi of Pekin and Kimberly DeVine of TN; four grandchildren, Amelia (Bobby) Schureman, Katie (Zachary), Pollard, Michael Bianchi and Amberlyn DeVine; five great grandchildren, Evelynn, Bradley, Aurora, Gianna and Freya; one sister, Jane (Albert) Sams of Pekin and sister-in-law, Charlotte Miller of TN. Elsie was of the Baptist faith. She had worked at Sears for many years. She was an avid gardener and seamstress. There will be no services. Cremation has been accorded and interment will be at a later date in Tennessee. Henderson Funeral Home & Cremation has been entrusted with her arrangements.
