Elnor J. Yergler

Elnor Josephine Yergler, 91, of Pekin, passed away peacefully at 3:15 pm, Monday, November 16, 2009 with her daughters at her side at Pekin Manor. Elnor was born, November 29, 1917 in Pekin to Herbert T.W. and Marie F. Johnson.She married Armand R. Yergler on October 2, 1938 in Pekin, he passed away January 13, 2009. Also preceding her in death were her parents; one son Kim and one brother Russell Johnson. She is survived by two daughters, Melody (Don) Bearden of Salem, OR and Lanae (Jack) Hall of Blacksburg, VA; seven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren; and one brother Ray W. Johnson of Pekin. Elnor was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ in Pekin, where she was a past choir member, Sunday School Teacher and past president of the JOY Circle. She will be remembered as a loving mother with a strong spirit, perseverance and devotion to her husband.
