Elizabeth E. Ambrose

Pekin-Elizabeth E. Ambrose, 85, of 1006 S. Capitol St., passed away 9:10 p.m. Friday, February 9, 2007 at Hallmark House Nursing Center in Pekin. Elizabeth was born January 22, 1922 in Peoria to John J. and Elizabeth Look Miller. She married Eugene R. Ambrose August 1, 1947 in Peoria. He died January 17, 1992. Elizabeth is preceded in death by one brother and two sisters. Surviving are: one son, Michael (and Janet) Ambrose of Marseilles, IL; one daughter, Kathy (and Patrick) Pearcy of Charleston, SC; four grandchildren, Jonathan and Timothy Ambrose of Marseilles, IL, Cheryl Gilliam and Kimberly Walker of Charleston SC; five great grandchildren, Tiffany, Mary Elizabeth, Kirsten Anne Gilliam of Charleston SC, Cole and Aaron Walker of Charleston SC. Elizabeth was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Pekin.She was a beautician for over 50 years working most of that time at Everett's Beauty Salon in Pekin.Elizabeth enjoyed her pinnacle club and the family gatherings at Hunky Dory Farm Resort over the July 4th holidays.
