Eleanor B. Rasmussen

Eleanor B. Rasmussen, 67, of Pekin, IL passed away at 3:07 PM Tuesday, July 18, 2023 at her home surrounded by her family. Eleanor was born on February 14, 1956 in Peoria, IL to Robert K. and Eleanor Barbara (Hulett) Franklin. She married Charles Rasmussen on December 1, 1973 in Pekin. She was preceded in death by her parents and six brothers and sisters. Surviving are: her husband, Chuck of Pekin; two children, Eric Rasmussen and Betty Rasmussen both of Pekin; four grandchildren, Sydney Freeman, Courtney Watkins, Mileigh Rasmussen and Odin Rasmussen. Eleanor worked at Lake Manor Nursing Home in Pekin for many years and then owned Country View Retirement Home in Hanna City for many years. She enjoyed camping, fishing, painting, gardening and dragon flies. She and Chuck had many memorable motorcycle rides. She adored her grandchildren. A visitation will be held from 10:00 AM 12:00 PM Saturday, July 22, 2023 at Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory. There will be a prayer at the end of the visitation. Cremation will be accorded after the visitation. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
