Eleanor L. Liescheidt, 101, of Pekin passed away at 11:28 am Saturday, December 15, 2007 at Hallmark House Nursing Center in Pekin. Eleanor was born February 21, 1906 in Peoria, IL to Robert H. and Julia Gustafson Reichel. She married Ernest Herget on June 1, 1930 in Carthage, IL. He passed away on May 20, 1972. She married Karl B. Liescheidt on October 20, 1973 in Pekin. He died May 13, 1980. She was also preceded in death by one brother and one sister. Surviving are: three nephews, Robert Havens of Arlington, TX, James (and Helen) Herget of Kerville, TX and Alfred (and Virginia) Herget Jr. of Paragold, AR; one neice, Ann Kelly of Gallatin, TN; one step-daughter, Marian Michael of Pekin; one step-granddaughter, Gloria (and Ron) Knautz of Pekin; two step great grandchildren; four step-great great grandsons. Eleanor graduated from the John C. Proctor Hospital School of Nursing in 1926. She retired from nursing in 1949. Eleanor was a Past Matron of Lorraine Chapter #70 Order of Eastern Star in Oswego. Past President of American Legion Auxiliary Post #675 in Oswego. A former member of William Schaefer Post #33 American Legion in Pekin. Silver Cross Circle of Kings Daughters of Pekin. Eleanor was a member of the Highview Christian Church in Washington, IL.
