Eileen B. Barbour

Eileen B. Barbour, 84, of Pekin, passed away at 2:30 am Saturday, August 11, 2018 at Heartland Manor Care in Peoria. She was born January 27, 1934, in Pekin to Thomas Ray and Elizabeth (Aby) Barbour. Eileen was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by one son, Deacon Mark (Margo) Scamp of Pekin; three daughters, Brenda (Mike) Young of Pekin, Julia Greiner of Manteno, IL, and Melissa (Jon) Little of Pekin; eight grandchildren, Geoff Scamp, Bryan (Michelle) Little, Bradley Little, Karissa (Nick) Allen, Jamie (Eric) Wilborn, Elizabeth (Aaron) Wilcoxon, Emily (Luke) Gleason and Leah Ballard; nine great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mary (Lou) Besson of Pekin. Eileen retired from the State of Illinois working at the Pekin Unemployment facility. She loved challenges. She was an excellent seamstress and cook as well as a pilot and restaurateur, to name only a few. She accomplished many things in life and was good at all of them, but what she loved most was and spending time with her family, coffee and chocolate. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, August 18 at Lakeside Cemetery, 1917 N. 8th St., Pekin, IL, with Father Michael Andrejek officiating.
