Edweidyne J Nizzia

Edweidyne J.Nizzia, 88, of Pekin passed away at 4:28 PM Friday, November 14, 2014 in the emergency room at Pekin Hospital. Edweidyne was born on April 25, 1926 in Boynton Township, Tazewell County, Illinois to Joseph and Florence (Kuszmaul) Kaufmann. She married Delbert Nizzia on October 5, 1946 in Pekin. He passed away on July 8, 1988. Also preceding in death are her parents, two sons, Delbert and Jeffry Nizzia, one sister, Patricia Bright and one brother, Marlowe Kaufmann missing in action during WWII. Surviving is: two sons, Anthony Nizzia of Pekin and Joe (Jill) Nizzia of Cuba, IL; one daughter, Marilyn VanWagoner of Fairview, TX: eleven grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren; two sisters, Geneva (Robert) Shelton of Boseman, MT and Jotana Gardner of Livingston, MT. Edweidyne was a member of the Pekin Union Mission. She enjoyed fishing, camping and making crafts. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and baking Christmas cookies for them. Services will be at 10:00 AM Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory 2131 Velde Dr. Pekin. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Lakeside Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
