Edward E. Coen

Edward E. 'Eddie' Coen, 62 of Mason City, IL passed away at 2:21 PM Friday, September 29, 2017 at Unity Point Health - Pekin. Ed was born on January 17, 1955 in Martins Ferry, OH to Andrew Joseph and Sarah (Cruise) Coen. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, John Coen and two sisters, Loretta Coen and Darlene Beebe. Surviving are: four sisters, Suzanne E. (Daniel) Donze of Mason City, Marcella Payne of Manito, IL, Brenda Coen of Mason City and Cheryl Henry of Pekin; many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Eddie worked for several years at Tazewell County Resource Center. He enjoyed fishing, mowing grass, playing bingo and marbles. He was known to cheat at marbles. He also enjoyed family gatherings and was an avid Cub fan. Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory, 2131 Velde Dr. Pekin with Pastor Jeff Leeman officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the family to help with expenses.
