Edna L. Hunt, 86, of Pekin, IL passed away at 1:40 AM Thursday, October 31, 2013 at Autumn Accolade near Green Valley, IL. Edna was born on September 14, 1927 in Carbon Hill, AL to William Joseph and Ether Lee (Walker) Farley. She married Clayton Hunt on November 20, 1944 in Maumee, OH. He passed away on July 26, 1990. Also preceding in death are her parents, an infant son, daughter, Linda G. Little, one brother and two sisters. Surviving is: two sons, E.J. Hunt of Pekin, IL and Tim (Brenda) Hunt of North Pekin, IL; one daughter, Brinda (Joe) Cheek of Pekin, IL; eight grandchildren, Julie Kleinkort of Carlock, IL, Eric Little of Batavia, IL, Jenny Cheek of Washington, D.C., Alex and Bryan Cheek of Pekin, IL, Alana Hunt of Pekin, IL, Regan Beggs of White Bear Lake, MN and Jerritt Jolliff of Mackinaw, IL; fifteen great grandchildren; one brother, Leonard Calvin Farley of Missouri. Edna had worked at Pekin Hospital. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing and making crafts. Her family was the center of her life. A visitation will be held from 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM Saturday, November 2, 2013 at Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory 2131 Velde Dr. Pekin, IL. Cremation will be accorded after the visitation. Burial of her remains will be at a later date at Glendale Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to Central Illinois Chapter of Alzheimer's Association or to the American Cancer Society.
