Earl Oedewaldt

Earl Oedewaldt, 83, of Pekin died at 6:05 pm Wednesday April 7, 2010 in the emergency room at Pekin Hospital. Earl was born on February 21, 1927 in Mapleton, IL to Seth and Angeline (Pedze) Oedewaldt. He married Lois Madalozzo on February 12, 1950 in Bartonville, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, George Richard and Charles Arthur and one brother-in-law, David Madalozzo. Surviving are: his wife, Lois of Pekin; four brothers, Roy (Eunice) Oedewaldt and Lindy (Mariella) Oedewaldt both of Bartonville, IL, James (Wanda) Oedewaldt of Peoria, IL and Clyde (Janet) Oedewaldt of Pekin, IL; one sister, Ella Mae (Rolland) Woolcock of Greenfield, IN; two sister-in-lawa, Rose Ann Madalozzo of Tarboro, NC and Judy Oedewaldt of Harrah, OK; and many nieces and nephews. Earl was a WW II veteran of the United States Army. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Pekin and a former member of the Elks Lodge #1271. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing and doing puzzles.
