E. Sue Price

Elizabeth Sue Price, 87, of Pekin passed away at 2:13 PM on Friday, July 5, 2013 at Hallmark Nursing Center after a brief stay. Sue was born April 30, 1926 in Decatur, IL to William 'Tom' and Thelma 'Sis' (Stone) Haley. She married Robert 'Bob' Price on August 18, 1951. They and an infant brother preceded her in death. She is survived by sons, David (Susan) Price and Tom (Sue) Price, grandchildren, Matt Godbey, Rachel (Jared Yerly) Price and Laura Price all of Pekin. The open door at Bob and Sue's home let them enjoy and remain close to the other 'sons' in their lives who also miss them greatly. After raising her family, Sue returned to the workforce until retirement, last working for Dr. Ashby, DDS. She enjoyed watching sports, was an avid reader, loved animals and playing cards with family, friends and her card club pals of 40+ years. Graveside services, open to all who wish to attend, will be at 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at Glendale Memorial Gardens. There will be no visitation. Arrangements are by Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory. Memorial contributions may be made to TAPS Animal Shelter or the Pekin Public Library.
