Douglas J. Bolen

Douglas J. Bolen, 59 of Pekin, IL passed away at 11:20 AM Sunday, March 14, 2021 in the emergency room at Unity Point Health Pekin. Doug was born on October 26, 1961 in Pekin to James A. And Jeannie A. (Gardner) Bolen. He was preceded in death by his parents. Surviving are: four sons, Jerimiah Bolen of Delavan, IL, Justin Bolen of Fisher, IN, Jared Bolen of Pekin and Jaikeb Ohnemus of Pekin; two daughters, Jasmine (Tim) Harmon of Pekin and Jesla (Sam) Ryan of Peoria; eight grandchildren, Jaiton, Jaxton, Lainey, Winston, Everett, Archer Bolen, Kylie Reagan and Skyler Harmon; one great grandson, Bryson Embry; three brothers, Darin (Kathi) Bolen of Pekin, Chris Bolen of Emden, IL and Chayne Bolen of San Jose, IL; one uncle, Steve (Patty) Gardner of Pekin; many nieces and nephews. Doug was a very generous and caring man. He worked at Comcast in Pekin for 35 years. He was an avid Chicago Cubs and Bears Fan. He enjoyed long walks with his dog, Brownie. He spent many weekends attending concerts and most of all, he loved to be with his family. A Celebration of Dougs life will be held at the VFW in Pekin on Saturday, March 20th from 2-5pm. There will be a private family burial on Monday, March 22nd at 10:00am at Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin. Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory has been entrusted with Dougs arrangements.
