Dorothy J. Neff

Dorothy J. Neff, 93, of Pekin, IL passed away at 7:39 PM Thursday, July 22, 2021 at her home. Dot was born on January 26, 1928 at home in Dawson Township, LeRoy, IL to Otha Delavan and Flora Martha (Neal) Hafley. She married Thomas F. Neff on August 3, 1945 in San Diego, CA. He passed away on February 11, 2014. Also preceded in death are her parents; one son, Thomas Neff; one daughter Sharon Potts; and six sisters, Fran, Sharon, Elizabeth, Shirley, Eileen and Karen. Surviving are: one son, Robert D (Lisa) Neff of Pekin; one daughter, Susan (Bill) Schriever of Morris, IL; nine grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; three brothers, Robert and Leonard Hafley both of LeRoy, IL, Bud Hafley of MO; and one sister, Ruth (Tony) Smith of LeRoy, IL Dot was a member of Normandale Reformed Church. She enjoyed crafting, cooking, fishing, camping and working word search puzzles. Above all else, Dot treasured her children, grandchildren, and loved the St. Louis Cardinals. Funeral Services will be at 12:00 PM Friday, July 30, 2021 at Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. Kerry Frantz officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM 12:00 PM Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society.
