Dorothy Mae Lohnes

Dorothy Mae Lohnes, 94, of Pekin died at 3:40 am Saturday, May 01, 2010 at Pekin Hospital. Dorothy was born on April 23, 1916 in Pekin to Walter Scott and Nellie (Hurlhey) Lohnes. Preceding in death are her parents, step father, Eugene Hoff and one half sister, Betty Lindholm. Surviving is: two half sisters, Bonnie Scott Lohnes of Pekin and Rosemary A. Timke of The Villages, FL; her care giver, Teresa Tarpley. Dorothy graduated from Bradley University in 1968. She was a second grade teacher at Wilson, Garfield, McKinley and Douglas Elementary Schools in District 108 from 1956 - 1978.
