Dorothy Best

Dorothy Best, 81, 13762 IL Rt. 29 Pekin passed away at 10:47 pm Tuesday, August 14, 2007 at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria. Dorothy was born December 5, 1925 in Pekin to Carl and Dena Schoon Reaktenwalt. She married Joe Sebree in 1946 in Pekin. She later married Gordon Keyson in 1949 in Springfield, IL. He died in 1964. She married Fred Best in 1965 in South Pekin. He died in 1971. Also preceding in death is one daughter, Cathy Keyson, one granddaughter, Susan,two brothers and two sisters. Surviving are: one son, Carl 'Butch' Sebree of South Pekin; two daughters, Nancy (David) Buley of Pekin and Dena (Rory) Hinrichs of Marquette Heights; one step-daughter, Sandy (James) Bender of North Freedom, WI; one sister, Ruth (Matthew) Brady of Pekin; five grandchildren, Shelly Ferdon, Carl Sebree, Marsha, Michael Bender and Adam Hinrichs; three step-grandchildren, Evan, Ashley and Aaron Hinrichs; six great grandchildren, Megan, Kyle and Kayla Sebree, Paige, Heather and Bryan Ferdon; one great great grandchild, Cadence. Dorothy enjoyed reading, gardening knitting and crocheting.
