Doris Ilene Vanwinkle

Doris I. Van Winkle, 92, of Pekin passed away at 6:30 AM Thursday, August 16, 2012 at Amy's Country Manor in Pekin. Doris was born December 14, 1919 in Pekin to Leonard William and Ethel Leona (Starbuck) Doren. She was preceded in death by one son, John Van Winkle and sister, Della Fisher. Surviving are: one son, Terry Van Winkle of San Diego, CA; grandchildren, Laura Firpo, Karen VanWinkle, Kevin Van Winkle, Sara Fagan, Steven VanWinkle, Doug Kurtz, Jason VanWinkle, Jennifer VanWinkle, Kelly VanWinkle, and Travis VanWinkle; great grandchildren, Nathaniel, Justin and Rachael Firpo, Taylor, Thomas and Erin Van Winkle, Addy, Molly and Kelly Fagan and Chessie Goff. Doris enjoyed euchre, pinnacle, baseball, dancing, singing and traveling. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at Henderson Funeral Home with Pastor Jerry Rupp officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30 AM - 10:30 AM Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens.
