Doris H. Sevier

Doris H. Sevier, 89, of Pekin, IL passed away at 4:07 PM Wednesday, June 6, 2018 in the emergency room at UnityPoint Heath - Pekin. Doris was born on May 23, 1929 in Peoria, IL to William and Gladys (Ross) Fahnestock. She married Morris Sevier on January 13, 1951 in Pekin. Her parents preceded her in death. Surviving are: her husband, Morris of Pekin; one son, Dennis 'Denny' Sevier of Santa Monica, CA; one daughter, Michele 'Shellie' (Douglas) Sidell of Pekin; one granddaughter, Angela (Des Williams) Sidell of Pekin; one great-grandson, Teddy Williams of Pekin; two brothers, Richard Fahnestock of Groveland, IL and Ronald (Joan) Fahnestock of Canton, IL; one sister, Mary Hermann of Carmel, IN; and numerous nieces and nephews. Doris was a graduate of Manual High School. She worked at the Skyline Room at Carson Prairie Scott, Jones Brothers Jewelers and CB Smith School. Doris was an avid bowler and loved to play bingo. Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Monday, June 11, 2018 at Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory 2131 Velde Dr., Pekin with Rev. Judy Steger-Kennedy officiating.Visitation will be from 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
