Donna M. Dobey

Donna M. Dobey, 67, of Pekin passed away at 3:50 PM Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at her home. Donna was born on December 3, 1947 in Beardstown, IL to Donald and Marcella (Smith) Long. She married James W. Dobey on December 2, 1977 in Pekin, IL. Her parents precede her in death. Surviving are: her husband, James of Pekin; one son, Matt (Jessica Howard) of Manito, IL; one daughter, Heather Dobey (Chris Pfeiler)of Springfield, IL; three grandchildren, Bryce Howard, Alyssa and Tyler Pfeiler; one brother, Harry (Anna Ruth) Long of Virginia, IL; two sisters, Karen Parrish (Roger Stock) of Virginia, IL and Betty (Michael) Eilers of Chandlerville, IL. Donna was an Information Office Technician for the City of Peoria Police Department for thirteen years retiring in 2013. She enjoyed flowers and gardening. She was an avid fan of her son Matt's racing hobby. Donna was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She will be greatly missed by all. Memorial services will be at 7:00 PM Monday, September 28, 2015 at Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory 2131 Velde Dr. Pekin with Chaplin Steve Drennan officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00PM - 7:00 PM Monday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Illinois Cancer Care or the American Diabetes Association.
