Donna R. Carter

Donna R. Carter, 87, of Pekin, IL passed away at 5:19 AM Thursday, March 04, 2021 at her home with her family beside her. Donna was born August 22, 1933 in Manito, IL to Clarence and Edna (Smith) Bartels. She married James Carter on September 2, 1961 in Manito. He passed away on May 26, 2019. Also preceding in death are her parents, two sisters, Doris Bartels and Shirley Schoenbein and one brother, Clifford Bartels. Surviving is: one daughter, Linda (Kenneth) Wiseman of Pekin; three grandchildren, Amanda (Jarod) Munsell, Aaron and James (Ashley) Wiseman; four great grandchildren, Jordan and Rhiley Munsell and Owen and Ethan Wiseman. Donna had worked for Pekin Hospital as an aid. She enjoyed gardening, canning, cooking and puzzles. Donna loved her family; her greatest joys were time spent with them. Graveside services will be 11:00 AM Monday, March 8, 2021 in the chapel at Glendale Memorial Gardens with Pastor Chuck Grogan officiating.
