Donald W. Lounsberry

Donald W. Lounsberry, 83, of Pekin passed away at 10:30 AM Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at his home. Don was born on May 6, 1935 at Havana, IL to C.W. and Vera B. (Goodin) Lounsberry. He married Sheron K. Freed on May 17, 1958 in Pekin. Preceding in death are his parents and one great grandchild. Surviving are: his wife, Sheron of Pekin; five children, Denise (Rolland) Reed of New Port Richey, FL, Dawn Howell of Greenwood, IN, Danelle Lounsberry of Pekin, Dina (Tom) Bradley of Pekin and Don (Kyla) Lounsberry of Sparta, KY; eleven grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild; one brother, Rev. Bobby (Nancy) Lounsberry of Brimfield, IL and one sister, Judy (Mike) Cornick of Pekin. Don was a veteran of the United States Air Force serving during the Korean War. He was a machinist for Brewer Machinery Company retiring in 1995. He was a member of Pekin Moose Lodge #916, Fraternal Order of Eagles #1869 and Shiloh Valley Muzzleloaders. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at Glendale Memorial Gardens with Rev. Bobby Lounsberry will officiate. Visitation will be from 12:30 PM - 1:30 PM Wednesday at Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory 2131 Velde Dr. Pekin. Military Honors will be provided by the United States Air Force and the Tazewell Area Ceremonial Team at the graveside.
