Don Schumm

Donald C. Schumm, 75, of Pekin, IL passed away at 2:15 p.m. on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at his home.Don was born on January 1, 1940 in Pekin to Charles and Fern (Claton) Schumm.He married Pamela Neavear on September 4, 1964 in Pekin.She preceded him in death on February 28, 2013. He is survived by two sons, Zach (Carol) Schumm of Southlake, TX and Derrik (Kristin) Schumm of Gilbert, AZ, one sister, Joyce Wertz of Pekin and three grandchildren: Bailey Schumm , Madison Schumm and Dylan Schumm. Don served in the United States Army and then worked as a machinist at Caterpillar in Building KK, retiring in 1994. Don was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Pekin. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October21, 2015 at Henderson Funeral Home and Crematory, 2131 Velde Drive, Pekin IL.Rev. Daniel Bishop will officiate. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. beforethe services at the funeral home.Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery in Pekin.
