Dolores J. Brickner

Dolores J. Brickner, 82, of 150 Yordy Road, Morton passed away at 10:58 pm Tuesday, November 17, 2009 at her home Dolores was born on July 4, 1927 in Eureka, IL to William and Alvina (Karl) May. She married Vernon W. Brickner on Dec. 6, 1946 in Peoria, IL. He died on April 13, 1990. Surviving are: one son, William R. Brickner of Lancaster, CA; two daughters, CarolCrowley of Varna, IL and Karen (David) Clancy of Lakeside, TX; one sister, Donna Hawbecker of East Peoria, IL; three grandchildren, Alicia (Mike) Selquist of Princeton, IL, Jonathon (Sara) Crowley of Sycamore, IL and Christopher (Stacy) Crowley of East Peoria, IL; four great grandchildren, Dustin, Tiffany, Jakob and Lea. Dolores was a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church, the Bible Class and a 50 year member of the Ladies Guild. She was also a member of Hephatha Lutheran Church in Anaheim, CA. She was also a member of the Brea Golf Club women's league in Brea, CA. She also played in the Fondulac and Quail Meadows Women's Golf Leagues. Dolores was an active gardener, crotchetier, embroider and baker. She loved feeding the birds at winter time.
