Dolores M. Batterton

Dolores M. 'Mick' Batterton, 85 of Pekin died at 9:26 pm Sunday, November 1, 2015 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. Mick was born October 8, 1930 in Peoria to Roy B. and Lucy (Kowalski)Batterton. Surviving are cousins. Mick graduated from Wheeler Grade School in Mapleton in 1945 and from Pekin High School in 1949.She worked for Montgomery Wards and Soldwedels Dairy in Pekin from 1949-1951.She worked at Keystone Steel and Wire Company from December 26, 1951until retiring on April 30, 1982. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pekin and a past member of the American Business Women's Association in Peoria. There will be no visitation Cremation has been accorded.A memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 am Thursday, November 5, 2015 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Michael Andrejek officiating. Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church or the Children's Hospital of Illinois.
