Diane L. Winders

Diane L. Winders, 78, of Pekin, passed away at 8:28pm on Friday June 30th 2023, at Carle Health Pekin Hospital. She was born to Wayne and Jessie (Dailey) Davis in Pekin on April 16, 1945. She married Radford D. Winders on May 1st 1965, in Pekin. He preceded her in death on October 16th 2010. Diane was also preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers, Don and Warren Davis. She is survived by: a daughter, Cyndi (Ray) Simpkins of Peoria; two sons, Kurt Winders of Pekin and Scott (Julie) Winders of Groveland; nine grandchildren, Ryli Davies, Liz Simpkins, Tyler Winders, Katie Winders, Grant Stone, Jacob Winders, Brent Winders, Micah Winders, and Blake Winders; four great grandchildren, Mason Davies, Easton Davies, Iyla Davies, and Ava Winders; and brother, Robert Davis of Colorado, and sister-in-law, Becky Davis of Pekin. Diane was a proud Pekin Chink of the class of 1963. She and Rad raised their three children in Manito and were residents there for many years. Diane worked for Pekin Insurance as an Assistant Supervisor in Personal Lines retiring in 2001. She enjoyed quilting, cross stitch and doing crafts. Her greatest joy and love were her grandchildren and family. Her Funeral Service will be held at 12:00pm on Friday July 7th, 2023 at Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory, 2131 Velde Dr, Pekin with Rev. Jeff Leeman officiating. A visitation will be held prior to the funeral from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm also at the funeral home. Burial will be in Meadow Lawn Cemetery, Manito, IL. In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to St. Judes Childrens Hospital.
