Diane M. Siltman

Diane M. Siltman, a deeply loved wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away 12:00 PM Wednesday, September 2, 2026 at Carle Health – Pekin Hospital.

Diane was born September 15, 1947 in Pekin to William “Pete” and Esther (Fuelberth) Proehl. She married Louie Duane Siltman on March 9, 1968 in Pekin.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband Louie Duane; two sons, Bryan (Amanda) Siltman of Madison, WI, Aaron (Shanna) Siltman of Pekin; two brothers, Art (Wendy) Proehl of Pekin, Mike (Marilee) Proehl of Florida; four grandchildren, Riley Siltman, Ave Siltman, Aiden Siltman, and Maya Siltman.

Diane devoted her life to caring for the people she loved. As a homemaker, she created a home filled with warmth, laughter, and countless cherished memories. She was thoughtful and generous, always making others feel welcomed and cared for. She was also quick with a joke and had a wonderful way of bringing laughter into even the most ordinary moments.

Diane was always prepared for anything. Her purse seemed to hold an endless supply of snacks, medications, Band-Aids, and whatever else someone might need for every possible occasion. It was just one of the many ways she quietly cared for everyone around her.

A talented crafter and baker, Diane shared her love through the things she made. Her legendary pasta salad and unforgettable strawberry desserts were family favorites and will forever bring back memories of holidays, camping trips, and gatherings around the table.

She loved getting lost in a good book, spending peaceful days fishing, and enjoying the outdoors as an avid camper. However, nothing brought her greater joy than her family. She treasured her grandchildren and shared a special bond with her nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Each one held a very special place in her heart.

Diane was so much to so many—a loving wife, a devoted mother and daughter, a proud grandmother, a treasured aunt, and a loyal friend. She leaves behind a beautiful legacy of love, laughter, kindness, and family traditions that will continue for generations.

She was deeply loved and will be missed beyond words. Those who knew Diane will remember her humor, her thoughtfulness, the comfort of her presence, and the countless ways she made life sweeter.

Although our hearts are broken, we are grateful for every laugh, every meal, every camping trip, every story, and every precious moment we were blessed to share with her. Diane’s love will remain with us always.

In keeping with Diane’s wishes, cremation will take place, and no formal services will be held. Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory is assisting Diane’s family with arrangements.
