Derek A. Downey

Derek A. Downey, 47 of Pekin, IL passed away at 7:45 PM Saturday, May 11, 2013 at his home. Derek was born on October 24, 1965 in Pekin, IL to David A. and Leola (Ordaz) Downey. He was preceded in death by his father. Surviving is: his son, Dylan Bowman of North Pekin, IL; his mother, Leola Downey of Pekin; three sisters, Deborah (Dan) Lohnes of Barry, IL, Carrie Moehring of Pekin and Kassie Westervelt of Marysville, CA; four brothers, Kendall (Renee) Downey and Randall (Deb) Downey both of Pekin, Cory (Deb) Downey of Dayton, OH and Christopher (Tonya) Downey of Armington, IL; many nieces and nephews. Derek enjoyed biking, fishing and being outdoors. There will be no services or visitation. Cremation has been accorded. Arrangements have been entrusted to Henderson Funeral Home and Crematory 2131 Velde Dr. Pekin, IL.
