Dennis Ray Peacock

Dennis Ray Peacock, 74, of Pekin, IL went home to be with his Savior on Friday, November 25, 2022 at Unity Point Health Pekin. Dennis was born on February 18, 1948 in Carlinville, IL to Lloyd N. and Ethel Ruth (Shirley) Peacock. He married Brenda Quattlebaum Rosen on March 29, 1997. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Lloyd L and Gregory Peacock. Surviving are: his wife, Brenda of Pekin; one daughter, Angela (Jim) Bullard of Washington, IL; two sons, Jeffry (Shanon) Rosen of East Peoria, IL and Joseph (April) Rosen of Washburn, IL; many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Dennis graduated from Virden High School in 1966, attended Eureka College from 1967 1969 and was in the second graduated class of Illinois Central College. He worked for Caterpillar Inc. from 1969 1999 and for Rochester Midland Co. from 2002 2022. He was a charter member of Emmanuel Community Church in Pekin, where he taught adult Bible studies and was a member of the Praise Team. Dennis was active in community theater for 35 years, serving as President of MPact Theater in Pekin and as an active member of the Caterpillar Mixed Chorus, Cornstock, Peoria Players, Morton Area Players and the Artistic Community Theater of Pekin. Dennis and Brenda were avid travelers who were fortunate enough to have visited most of the United States and much of the world. He was also a motorcycle enthusiast who loved riding with Brenda and their friends. Dennis liked reading, working puzzles, fishing and living life to the fullest. A visitation celebrating Dennis life will be from 5:00 PM 7:00 PM Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory in Pekin. Cremation will be accorded. Memorials contributions may be made to the family to help with expenses.
