Dennis A. Eye

Dennis Alan Eye, 60, of Pekin, IL passed away on Thursday, June 17, 2021 at his home. He was born on April 30, 1961 to Dennis and Diane Eye. He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents. He is survived by: his mother, Diane of Pekin; three daughters, Holly, Charity and Jessica Eye; one brother, Daniel (Kim) Eye; four sisters, Jo (Phil) Underwood, Susan (Bill) Kells, Gail (James) Chasteen, and his baby sister, Kathleen Wineburner; multiple nieces and nephews. Dennis was honorably discharged from the Navy in June, 1987 after serving on the USS Hunley at Holy Lock, UK. He also was stationed in Korea, Puerto Rico, Scotland, and Japan. He received numerous accolades for his service and bravery. He loved his country and was proud to serve and protect her. Dennis loved his dogs Sadie and Gomer who were always at his side. He recently worked at Walmart in Pekin. He enjoyed playing weekly card games with family. He loved fishing and hunting and often bragged about making the best squirrel soup around these parts. His family loved and will miss him dearly. Cremation will be accorded. No services will be held. Henderson Funeral home is assisting Dennis family.
