Delores A. Baker

Delores A. Baker, 74, of Pekin, IL passed away at 5:35 AM Monday, October 31, 2022 at Pekin Manor. Delores was born on September 21, 1948 in Fairbury, IL to Orville and Irene (Bernhart) Cook. She married Melvin Baker on November 27, 1973 in Pekin. He passed away on December 7, 1996. Also preceding in death are her parents and three brothers, Dick, Donnie and Orville Cook. Surviving are: one son, Jayson (Meri Wilson) Hedrick of Pekin; one daughter, Taunya (Jeff) Watson of Davenport, IA; three grandchildren, Madison Knight, Caitlyn and Farren Counterman; two great grandchildren, Liam Rowe and Hannah Osborn; two step children, Jeff Baker and Sondra (Ron) Gore both of Pekin; three step grandchildren; two brothers, Kenny Cook of Pekin and Larry (Alice) Cook of Morton, IL; one sister, Gladys Kastner of Pekin. Delores worked in automotive sales last working for Velde Lincoln Mercury in Peoria. She enjoyed doing puzzles, traveling, long walks and spending time with family and friends. Graveside services will be at 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin. Cremation has been accorded. Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory has been entrusted with Delores arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association 614 W Glen Ave, Peoria, IL 61614.
