Della Louise Holcomb

Della Louise Holcomb, 83 of Pekin passed away at 5:40 pm, Sunday, October 9, 2011 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center. Della was born January 29, 1928 in St. Louis Mo to Ernest and Beatrice (Padgett) Haney.She married Irwin A. Holcomb on February 7, 1945.He died December 8, 1975. Also preceding her in death are her parents, two brothers, one sister and one grandson, Gary D. Holcomb Jr. Della is survived by three sons, Harvey J. Holcomb of Brimfield, IL, Gary (Lola) Holcomb and Mike Holcomb both of Pekin; one daughter, Lilyan (Michael) Stephens of Pekin; three sisters, Mae Hetzer of Ocala, FL, Marilyn (Tom) Meador of Brentwood CA, Mary Knott of Decatur, IL; brother-in-law Jim Boyd and sister- in- law Wanda Haney both of Decatur; thirteen grandchildren; twenty two great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren; her dog, Teko Della was a pet groomer for over 48 years. She attended Imago Dai Church in Peoria. Della's family was her whole life.She enjoyed spending time with her family and she lived for them. Funeral services will be at 7:00 pm Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at Henderson Funeral Home in Pekin. Pastor Charlie Dean will officiate.Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm prior to funeral.Entombment will be in American Mausoleum in Peoria. Memorials may be directed to Imago Dai Church 210 W.
