David H. Westemeyer

David H. Westemeyer, 89, of Pekin, IL passed away at 4:14 PM Friday, November 10, 2023 at Hallmark Healthcare of Pekin. David was born on August 13, 1934 in Houston, TX to Alfred Joseph and Thelma (Morgan) Westemeyer. He married Barbara Ann VanMieghem on November 24, 1955 in East Moline, IL. She passed away on March 9, 1998. He married Jean Gau on August 16, 2003. She passed away on November 30, 2012. Also preceding in death are his parents and two brothers, Bertron and Clint Westemeyer. Surviving are: two sons, Don (Kay) Westemeyer of Pekin and Mark Westemeyer of Nebo, IL; one daughter, Linda (Roch) Schulte of Quincy, IL; six grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren; two brothers, John (Donna) Westemeyer of Woodbridge, VA and Edward (Pauline) Westemeyer of Moline, IL. David was a graduate of Rock Island Alleman High School, where he was inducted into the Hall of Fame. He was also a graduate of Ambrose University. He worked for Jaydon Inc. for 35 years. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pekin. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Pekin with Father Michael Andrejek officiating.
