David Lee Wamsley

David Lee Wamsley, 83, of North Pekin, IL passed away at 8:50 am Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on April 30, 1939 in North Pekin to Roy and Beatrice (Lee) Wamsley. He married Nancy Baer on October 10, 1959 in Creve Coeur, IL. Dave is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Eugene and Robert Wamsley. Surviving are: his wife, Nancy of North Pekin; two sons, Daniel (Brenda) Wamsley of Pekin and Andrew (Amy) Wamsley of Delavan; four grandchildren, Brody Wamsley, Jessica Penn, Jennifer Wamsley, and Janelle Wamsley; two great-grandchildren, Levi and Judah Penn. Dave served in the United States Navy. He worked for P & PU Railroad for 40 years retiring in 2001. He also worked as a Police Officer for the Village of North Pekin for 10 years, from 1970-1980. He served as the Trustee for the North Pekin Village for 1 years. He enjoyed collecting toys and antique cars. Private memorial services will be held at First Baptist Church with inurnment at Lakeside Cemetery. Cremation will be accorded. Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory is assisting Daves family with arrangements.
